Hoya caudata ‘Sumatra’ has one of the mostunusual flowers in the genus! The foliage is redder than that of the natural species, and with brighter light, the foliage turns a darker, purplish hue.Hoyacaudata Sumatra requires more moisture and it shouldnt be allowed to dry out between waterings. Flowers are larger in this cultivar. Clusters of white to pale pink blooms are pubescent, with a fringe of long hairs along the edges; and anthers with long, thin, tail-like (caudate) appendages that are raised above a pinkish red to deep rose corona.

*NOTE: THESE ARE IN 4.5″ HANGING BASKETS* and have 2-3 plants per pot!

~Do Not let Hoya sit in excess water. As epiphytes, in the wild they would be growing on tree trunks or branches in the forest understory where they would get most of their water just from dew or moisture in the air.

~Hoya are considerably hardy & tolerant of a wide range of growing conditions, but for the best growth it is recommended to provide higher levels of humidity.

~Do Not remove the peduncles [flower stalks] after your Hoya has finished flowering. Hoya are able to rebloom again & again from the same peduncle!

~Feedregularlyduringthe growing season with a low nitrogen fertilizercontaining sufficient amounts of phosphorous and potassium.
