Arbutus canariensis

A striking tree displaying bold foliage to 15cm in length and white flowers for a large part of the year. The bark is very showy being dark orange in most seasons but with extreme heat and sun it can become mid purple. Bark is shed annually. It can grow in semi-shade (light woodland) or no shade. It prefers moist soil.
